INDIANAPOLIS – The time has finally arrived for the UIndy outdoor track & field teams to prepare for competition at the 2023 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Rolla, Mo. Competition is set to begin on Thursday and continue through Saturday.
 
Action will be streamed live and free on all GLVC Sports Network platforms, including GLVCSN.com, IOS/Andriod mobile apps, and Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Andriod TV OTT apps.
 
Last season, the women's team brought home third place with 102.5 points while the men's squad ended in fourth after claiming 79.5 points.

Track & Field Assistant Head Coach Brad Robinson discusses the team's progression this season…
"I feel like we're progressing very well, outdoor season is typically more challenging than indoor because you're battling the elements like weather which can have a direct effect sometimes here in the Midwest where the weather's not as consistent compared to other parts of the country. "
 
Robinson discusses what the team standings look like for the Hounds coming up…
"I think the men sit solid in the top three while the women enter at second place right now. Both will be trying to consistently close the gap on those top teams, which looks to be Lewis on the women's side and Missouri S&T on the men's side."
 
Robinson adds what it will take for one or both teams to win a conference title…
"Everybody is really going to have to be dialed in, and it's going to have to be the best meet of the season for us. Usually when you get to the conference championships, a large portion of the team has their best meet of the season so we'll have to see if that's enough to carry us through and put us on top in the end."
