ROLLA, Mo.–The UIndy track & field teams wrapped up a successful stay in Rolla, Mo., on Saturday, earning a top-three finish on both the men and women's sides. The Greyhound women notched a pair of event titles on the final day to hold on to second place in the final team standings, while the men capped the week with a gold medal in the 4x400 relay to claim third place.

The three-day conference showcase was held at Allgood-Bailey Stadium on the campus of Missouri S&T in Rolla, Mo., Thursday through Saturday.

The Greyhounds now await the announcement of qualifiers for the upcoming NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The release will be made at NCAA.com on May 16, with the national meet slated for May 25-27 in Pueblo, Colo.
SATURDAY
Sophomore
Ellie Lengerich continued her impressive week, claiming two more medals on Saturday. She earned gold in the 400-meter hurdles – her second event championship of the week – to go with a bronze in the high jump (1.65m).

The Greyhounds went one-two in the women's 100 hurdles, with
Ailliyah Reese taking the title with a time of 14.14, followed by silver medalist
Lindsey Wormuth at 14.59.

The sprints were also a strong source of points for the UIndy women.
Hallie Montgomery scored in both the 100 (5th place) and the 200 (4th). She also anchored the silver-medal winning 4x100 relay, along with Reese,
Olivia Brimmage and
Joanna Fields.

The throwers, meanwhile, found continued success in the ring. Fresh off winning the conference crown in the hammer throw Thursday,
Zoe Pentecost captured bronze in the discus with a heave of 43.74 meters. On the men's side,
Cameron Smith (6th) and Keaton Adams (8th) earned teams points as well.

Ndubisi Eze took silver in the men's high jump, clearing 2.02 meters on his first attempt at that height. Teammate
Amarion Conyers took sixth place at 1.90 meters.

Josiah Adams got in on the medal frenzy, securing bronze in the men's 400 on a time of 49.41.
Alexander Brown-Baez notched a couple more points in the race with a seventh-place finish.

Three Hounds scored in the men's 800, led by
Tom Saint-Juvin. TSJ grabbed bronze in one of the closest finishes of the day, taking bronze in a race that saw just 0.35 seconds separate first place from fourth.
Devon Whitaker and
Harnoor Dosanjh finished sixth and seventh, respectively.

FRIDAY
It took Lengerich until her last jump of six attempts to claim gold and the new school record in the long jump. The St. Leon, Ind., native collected a mark of 5.82 meters to win the event, which broke the previous school record of 5.72 meters set by Kimberly Wise back in 1998.
Joanna Fields tallied seventh for a spot on the podium while
Rebekah Mappes ended in 10th.

In the women's pole vault, the trio of Clark,
Sabrina Robison, and
Mackenzie VanBibber dominated the runway in a productive event for the Hounds. Robison and VanBibber both bowed out after clearing 3.70 meters, but Robison claimed second and VanBibber third due to the overall number of misses. Meanwhile, Clark stole the show and cleared 3.90 meters on her final attempt at the height and won the event with a provisional mark because of it.

UIndy stayed hot in the pole vault as Arnold,
Cade Priddy, and
Nolan Anderson saw action on the men's side. Anderson found a podium spot with his sixth-place finish while Priddy tied for second after clearing 4.60 meters. It was Arnold who went over the bar and set his new outdoor PR at 5.01 meters while earning a provo to win the event. He nearly matched the school record which still stands at 5.03 meters.

Then in the final event of the evening, Spencer and
Hannah Wells geared up for the 5,000-meter steeplechase. Spencer beat the rest of the field by nearly 10 seconds at 11:22.95 while Wells earned the Hounds some team points with her fifth-place finish.

In the throwing events, the duo of
Zoe Pentecost and
Emily Bonser saw the podium in the women's shot put with finishes of fourth and sixth, respectively. In the men's shot put,
Keeton Adams corralled the runner-up spot after his final toss was a provo and went 17.31 meters. Close behind,
Dylan Mayhew collected third (16.37 meters). Finally on the track,
AJ Goecker tallied second in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase while
Brandon Ellis found the podium in eighth.
THURSDAY
Zoe Pentecost claimed first place, broke the GLVC meet record, and nearly broke the school record in the women's hammer throw on Thursday afternoon to headline action for the UIndy outdoor track & field teams at the 2023 GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Pentecost, who easily dominated the rest of the hammer throw field, smashed her previous outdoor personal record (57.92 meters) and threw a provisional mark of 59.21 meters on Thursday. This nearly took down the standing school record of 59.31 meters set back in 2015 by Farin Hickman. Along with Pentecost, the Hounds also saw
Emily Bonser collect the runner-up spot in the event (provo of 54.85) while
MaKenna Maschino and
Claire Tabit went fifth and ninth, respectively.

Lucas Liard was the lone Greyhound to take the track in the men's 10,000-meter run which saw him grab second place at 30:29.81

Over in the men's hammer throw,
Keeton Adams collect a bronze medal after tossing a throw of 56.03 meters.
Jacob Brouse and
Cameron Smith ended in fifth and sixth, respectively, while
Dylan Mayhew and
Noah Mattson collect 10th and 12th, respectively.

In the final event of the day,
Mariah Davis and
Hanna Stamm led UIndy in the women's 10,000-meter run with finishes of 11th and 12th, respectively.
Gabrielle Harrell and
Emma Gaston would finish in 16th and 18th, respectively.
