The No. 14 UIndy football team opens conference play this Saturday night with a trip to Rolla, Mo., to face the Miners of Missouri S&T. The Greyhounds are one of two GLVC teams to survive their non-conference slate unscathed, while the Miners are still in search off their first win.

UIndy has come out on top in nine of the 10 all-time meetings with S&T. The Hounds' only loss came in a 31-28 final in Rolla in October of 2021. Last season, UIndy avenged the aforementioned defeat with a convincing 42-16 victory in Indy on Halloween weekend.

With Justin Thomas being named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week, UIndy now has five current starters (Clay Schulte, Kivonte Houston, Michael Brown and Dylan Shelton) that have claimed the league's weekly defensive award since October of 2022.
