AVON, Ohio – As is normal in February baseball, the weather has already made an impact on the University of Indianapolis baseball schedule. Both contests against the Lake Erie Storm, the continuation from yesterday and the regularly scheduled game have been canceled due to overwhelming snowfall in the lake-front Avon, Ohio.
These contests against the storm are now being moved to March 12 in Indianapolis at Greyhound Park. The Hounds will resume the halted game at noon, and after a short intermission between contests, will play a nine-inning affair.
The Hounds yesterday defeated the Notre Dame College Falcons 12-1, with
Dakota Sill,
Nick Lukac and
Will Spear all registering multi-RBI games.
With the cancelation, the next contest for the Greyhounds will be on the road down in, hopefully, sunny Americus, Ga. where they will take on the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes. That is currently set up as a three-game set with the pair playing nine inning games on each day on Feb. 23-25.
