INDIANAPOLIS- The UIndy men's and women's teams wrapped up their time at the GLVC Track & Field Indoor Championships on Sunday. The women finished runner-up with a total of 145 points, and the men finished in third with 126. The Lewis University took the top spot in both competitions.

WOMEN'S RECAP
Ellie Lengerich added two more medals to her collection after picking up two on day one. Lengerich took second in the high jump after clearing 1.62 meters. She was also a part of the UIndy 4x400 team who claimed third with a time of 3:59.38. The team featured
Cloey Simon,
Trinity Gleitz,
Emily Sonderman, and Lengerich. After also winning the pentathlon and taking third in the high jump, Lengerich was named the GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row.

Sabrina Robison also had a standout performance today. In the pole vault, Robison broke both the school record and the GLVC Championships record with a height of 4.20 meters. The senior secured the gold medal, finishing nearly a half meter higher than the competition. Teammate
Mackenzie VanBibber was right behind Robison in second after clearing 3.75 meters.

Zoe Pentecost and Emily Bosner competed in the shot put for the Greyhounds. Pentecost came in second with her furthest distance of the season, 13.53 meters.
Emily Bonser reached 12.83 meters, earning her fourth place.

Ailliyah Reese was the top finisher on the track for the Hounds. Reese took home the silver medal in the 60m hurdles after clocking 8.77 seconds. Three athletes finished third in the respective events.
Emily Sonderman created a new PR in the 400m of 56.78 seconds.
Lindsey Wormuth also competed in the 60m hurdles; she finished in 9.07 seconds. Finally,
Hadley Fisher finished the 3000m in 10:01.93

MEN'S RECAP
Tom Saint-Juvin stole the show in the 800m. During the final lap, Saint-Juvin snuck passed McKendree's John Bush and crossed the finish line first. Saint-Juvin clocked a time of 1:51.99. He also competed in the 4x400m with
Evan Stonitsch,
Jalen Larkey, and
Luke Lacey. The team finished in second after completing the race in 3:20.71. Similarly to the 800m, Saint-Juvin overtook the Lewis team in the final lap to secure the silver.

Another gold medal was awarded to the Greyhounds in the 60m hurdles.
Ndubisi Eze finished in 8.23 seconds, his fasted this season.

Felix Rivet also earned a spot on the podium. Rivet competed in the mile and clocked a time of 4:14.69

DAY 1
Ellie Lengerich was the first Greyhound to claim the gold. Lengerich competed in the pentathlon and accumulated 8790 points, breaking her own school record by 35 points. The junior finished in first place in the shot put, long jump, and 800m, and placed second in the 60m hurdles and the high jump. Lengerich did not stop there, she also competed in the long jump. She jumped for 5.27 meters earning her third place.

The UIndy throwers had a fantastic day and claimed the top four spots in the weight throw.
Zoe Pentecost, who is currently ranked second nationally in the event, took the top spot with 19.83 meters.
Audra Hogan and
Emily Bonser followed behind in second and third place respectively. Both athletes created new PRs during the competition, Hogan reached 16.36 meters and Bonser got 16.34. MaKenna Machino rounded out the top four with a new PR of her own at 16.27 meters.

Hadley Fisher was the final Greyhound to reach the podium. Fisher participated in the 5000m where she came in third after clocking a time of 17:33.91.

Six Hounds qualified for the finals after placing in the top eight in their respective events.
Hallie Montgomery will aim for the podium in the 200m and the 60m.
Zaleeya Martin will also run in the 60m dash tomorrow. Alliyah Reese and
Lindsey Wormuth will go head-to-head in the 60m hurdles.
Emily Sonderman will compete in the 400m as well.

The UIndy men's DMR team created a new PR and claimed the top spot. The team included

Alex Meyer made an impact in his first GLVC Championships. Meyer took first in the long jump after he reached 7.27, a new personal record for the freshman.

Treyton Arnold competed in the pole vault where he claimed second after clearing 4.82 meters.

Dylan Mayhew and
Cameron Smith participated in the weight throw for UIndy. Mayhew took fourth and passed his previous PR with a throw of 18.54 meters.
Cameron Smith was right behind his teammate in fifth. Smith also created a new PR after reaching 17.88 meters.

Ndubisi Eze and
Jalen Larkey finished in the top eight in their respective prelims. Eze in the 60m hurdles and Larkey in the 400m, both Greyhounds will compete for the title tomorrow.

Aiden DeLaTorre will close out his time in the Heptathlon. After four events, DeLaTorre has accumulated 2151 points and is in 10th place. To finish up the multi-event, the 60m hurdles, pole vault, and 1000m will take place tomorrow morning.
