CINCINNATI, Ohio - The UIndy men's and women's track and field teams finished up their opening weekend of the outdoor season at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. The meet was hosted by the University of Cincinnati and featured competitors from all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA. Teams included Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Dayton, Findlay, Grand Valley State, Indiana Tech, Kent State, Miami (OH), Mount Union, Northern Kentucky, Toledo, and UIndy.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Emily Sonderman finished fourth overall in the women's 400m. With a time of 56.27, Sonderman clocked a new personal best in the event.
Also on the track,
Hallie Montgomery competed in two events for the Greyhounds. Montgomery competed in the 100m (12.37) and 200m (25.22) dash where she came in 16th and 11th respectively.
After her school record-breaking performance on Thursday,
Zoe Pentecost had another successful day in the field. The junior finished second in the hammer throw with 59.99 meters. Pentecost also participated in the shot put (14th, 11.98m) and discus (11th, 38.59m).
Audra Hogan was the highest Greyhound finisher in the discus. With a mark of 39.33m, Hogan placed ninth in the event. In the shot put,
Faith Hensel was the Hound on top. Hansel took 12th after throwing for 12.06m.

MEN'S RECAP
Tom Saint-Juvin was the top performer for the Greyhounds at the meet. Saint-Juvin finished first in the 800m with a time of 1:51.98.
Jaycee Wilburn also finished in the top five in the event. Wilburn claimed fifth after clocking 1:55.15.
Felix Rivet took second in the 3000m steeplechase. Rivet set a new personal best at 9:51.38.
Dylan Mayhew earned the highest finish of the day for the UIndy throws squad. With a mark of 51.08 meters, Mayhew placed sixth in the hammer throw.
Cameron Smith (14.90m) and
Bryson Adams (14.39m) finished eighth and ninth in the shot put, respectively.

The Greyhounds will head to Louisville, KY on Friday, Apr. 5 to compete at the Jim Vargo Invitational. Hosted by Bellarmine University, the event will begin with field events at noon and running events will follow at 1 p.m. at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
