EMPORIA, Kan.— Seven members of the University of Indianapolis Track and Field team will take on the three-day NCAA Division II National Championship Meet at Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kan., on May 21-23.
THURSDAY
Alex Meyer, the two-time National Champion in the men's long jump, will kick off the weekend for the Crimson and Grey with a 3:30 p.m. EST start time. The junior claimed his first national title just a year ago in Pueblo, Colo., with a jump of 7.70m and brought home his second title at the 2026 Indoor National Championships in Virginia Beach, moving into the lead with his last leap of 7.79m to take the victory. Meyer enters the weekend ranked first nationally with his personal best and a Greyhound record of 7.89m, which he set at this year's GLVC Track and Field Championships.
Mackenzie VanBibber will keep things going on Thursday with her debut at the National Meet in the women's pole vault at 4 p.m. The senior earned her ticket to Emporia with a first-place finish at the GLVC Championship meet with a personal best of 4.00m and currently sits 17th in the field of 22.
Felix Rivet will wrap up the competition for the Hounds in the 3,000m steeplechase preliminary round at 7:40 p.m.. The GLVC Champion ranks first in the field of 22 with a program record of 8:40.15, which he set at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
FRIDAY
Women's discus will be the first event of the day for UIndy, with sophomore Vivian Osagie competing in the circle at 5:30 p.m. Osagie ranks fifth in the field of 22 with a season's best attempt of 52.44m, which she threw in the opening meet of the outdoor season.
Shortly after the women's shot put begins, Francesca Maruino will take the runway in the women's triple jump at 5:45 p.m. The junior jumped a program record of 12.36m at the GLVC Outdoor Championships to push her up to sixth in the field of 22.
Josue Le Cadre and Yanis Le Mouillour will compete at 7 p.m. in the men's 800m preliminary round. Yanis Le Mouillour made his way up the performance list in his last race out, clocking a 1:47.15 at the Indiana University Billy Hayes Invitational, placing him fourth nationally entering the meet. The reigning national champion in the 800m, Josue Le Cadre claimed the Division II record earlier this season, clocking a 1:45.09 at the Bryan Clay Invitational placing him atop the outdoor performance list.
The 3,000m steeplechase final will round out the night beginning at 8:50 p.m.
SATURDAY
Osagie will kick off the final day of competition for the Hounds in the shot put at 1:30 p.m. After a fifth-place finish in the indoor championships, Osagie enters the weekend ranked third with a personal best of 16.43m.
Maurino returns for her second competition of the weekend at 4:15 p.m. to compete in the women's high jump. The junior finished sixth in the indoor championships with a jump of 1.76m for a new Greyhound record, and enters the weekend 11th with an outdoor best of 1.74m
The men's 800m final will be the final competition of the weekend for the Crimson and Grey, beginning at 6:15 p.m.
