Three Greyhounds Set to Compete in Track & Field Nationals

INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy men's and women's track and field teams head to Emporia, Kan. to compete in the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field National Championships tomorrow. Emporia State will take the role of host with the competition being held at Welch Stadium.
 
Three Greyhounds will represent UIndy at the three-day-long championships. Zoe Pentecost (hammer throw) and Sabrina Robison (pole vault) will represent the women's team while Alex Meyer (long jump) will be the sole male participant from UIndy.
 
All three student-athletes will compete tomorrow. Meyer will compete first at 3:30 p.m. ET, Robison will follow at 4 p.m. ET, and Pentecost will round out at 4:30 p.m. ET.
 
Pentecost and Robison enter the weekend in the top five of their respective events. Pentecost holds the top spot in the hammer throw with 62.74m, with Robison ranking fifth with a mark of 4.27m.
 
Meyer will compete in his first national championship after being named the GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Men's Freshman of the Year. At the conference championships, Meyer won the long jump with a PR of 7.53m.
