LEXINGTON, Ky. - The UIndy volleyball team was among 1,425 institutions recognized on Wednesday as a recipient of the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT. 
 
In its 32nd year, the USMC/AVA Team Academic Award honors programs that earn a minimum 3.3 GPA over the course of the year.
 
UIndy, which has earned the award for four consecutive years, was one of 171 NCAA Division II programs represented on the list.
 
The Hounds' 2024 fall campaign opens Friday, Sept. 6, at home by facing in-region rival Grand Valley State in the UIndy Invitational.
