QUINCY, Ill. – On the first day of the GLVC Women's Bowling Championship tournament, the inaugural season for the University of Indianapolis came to an end, after falling to No. 2 McKendree and No. 6 Lewis.

The match began with a Traditional single-game total, followed by a five-game Baker format total. The Greyhounds scored 841 in the Traditional format, led by Ebony Ward's 243, but it wasn't enough to edge the collective total of 937 by the Bearcats.
In the Baker section, Emily Heldman scored the highest total with a 178. UIndy's 751 couldn't keep pace with McKendree's 906.

The Hounds had a strong start in Traditional play, with three players scoring over 180. Ward was the driving force again, rolling a 219, followed by a 193 from Elizabeth Estes, and a 184 from Heldman. UIndy finished with an 884, but ultimately came up short to the Flyers' 968.
Estes continued to pace the pinfall for the Hounds in the Baker format, rolling a 201. Heldman was next with a 182, and Ward pitched in a 174 to carry UIndy to a 868 total. Marissa Metcalfe 237's led the charge for Lewis, who clinched the match after collecting a total of 942.
UIndy knocked down 3,344 pins throughout both matches, with Ward collecting the highest total in Traditional play (462), and Heldman pacing the Baker format with a 362.
