INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy softball team earned the No. 10 spot in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings, released Wednesday. The Greyhounds will need to climb to at least eighth by the time the full NCAA field is announced on Monday, May 5.
The Midwest Regional is scheduled to run May 8-10, with the top two seeds each hosting a four-team double-elimination bracket. The winners of two sub-brackets will advance to face off in a best-of-three Super Regional May 15-16 to determine the Midwest's representative at the 2025 NCAA DII Softball Championships, held in Chattanooga, Tenn., on May 22-28.
Â
Having qualified for each of the last 16 NCAA regionals, the Greyhounds boast the longest active postseason streak in the Midwest. They captured three regional crowns in that span, including winning the
Midwest title last spring.
