INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's tennis team headlined the All-GLVC First Team, leading the conference with four recognitions.
Tyffaine Pais,
Jimena De Pablos Hernando, Suryanshi, and
Sofia Cardenas all earned bids to the All-Conference squad, whom have all received GLVC Player of the Week awards throughout the season.
Pais, currently ranked No. 37 in DII singles by the latest ITA Poll, holds a 5-1 record at #1 singles. The two-time ITA Midwest Regional Champion has achieved four total ranked wins throughout the season, and dropped just one match in conference play. Her and Cardenas spearhead the doubles lineup for UIndy, who have tallied a 6-3 record together playing #1 singles. Cardenas maintains a 5-3 record in singles competition, with an undefeated 2-0 clip in GLVC play.
De Pablos Hernando leads the Greyhounds in singles wins in the 2025 campaign with 10, sporting a 10-1 mark playing across the singles lineup. She earns this recognition off the heels of a six match win streak, with an undefeated 4-0 record in conference play. De Pablos Hernando also leads UIndy in total doubles wins this season, with a 10-3 record when pair with
Silvia Zappoli.
Suryanshi has been dominating singles competition all season, boasting an unblemished 9-0 record. The sophomore began the season playing No. 5 singles, and has worked all the way up to No. 2 singles.
The league also recognized one student-athlete from each team as honorees for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, with De Pablos Hernando earning the nod for the Hounds. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners.
