INDIANAPOLIS - Â Sophomore
Cameron Young was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) All-GLVC team after finishing runner-up at this year's conference Championships.
Â
Young finished three under par during the stroke play to secure his second-place finish. The Englishman was key to the Greyhounds' return to the championship match. Young defeated Daniel Solavera of Missouri-St. Louis to help push the Hounds to the final match play.
Â
The league also recognized one student-athlete from each team as honorees for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, with Young also earning the nod for the Hounds. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners.
