GREENWOOD, Ind. - Jimena De Pablos Hernando and Sofia Cardenas of the UIndy women's tennis team were honored on the 2025 Academic All-District list by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. The annual list recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
To be eligible for this award, the student-athlete must earn a minimum 3.50 GPA while also competing at a high level in their sport.
De Pablos Hernando, who was named to the 2025 GLVC First Team, has bolstered the singles lineup all season, holding an impressive 13-1 record. In addition, the Sophomore claims a team-high 11 wins in doubles play when paired with Silvia Zappoli.
Cardenas, another GLVC First Team honoree, was also put up for the CSC Academic All-American list, for stellar achievement on the court and classroom. Cardenas carries a 7-3 record in singles competition, with wins in her last five matches.
The CSC Academic All-America list will be announced on June. 3.
