WACO, Texas – The University of Indianapolis football team will open the 2025 season as the 20th-ranked team in the nation, according to the newly-released American Football Coaches Association DII Preseason Poll. As the three-time reigning GLVC champions and current league favorites, the Greyhounds will be gunning for a return trip to the NCAA DII playoffs in November.
 
UIndy is the lone GLVC representative in the top 25 and one of seven teams from the revamped Super Region 3. SR3-mainstay and defending-national-champ Ferris State tops the poll, while UIndy regular-season opponents Ashland University (T-24th), the University of Findlay (receiving votes) and Truman State University (receiving votes) also appeared on the AFCA release.
