AUSTIN, Texas – UIndy football student-athlete
Ryne Buttz was voted to the 2025 Academic All-America® Division II Football Team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and announced Tuesday. The annual list recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
An Exercise Science major, Buttz was voted to the exclusive Academic All-America First Team after a stellar 2025 campaign. He was a leader on one of the most prolific offenses in the nation, with UIndy ranking second in Division II in both total offense and scoring offense on the way to a
GLVC title and a
second-round playoff appearance. Buttz's recognition marks the sixth straight season that at least one Greyhound appeared on the Academic All-America list.
