NEW ORLEANS—After a hot start to the indoor track and field season, the University of Indianapolis men's track and field squad is ranked #6 in the US Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Track and Field Rating Index (TFRI).
The Hounds have compiled 78.87 points and are the highest-ranked team nationally in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Wingate sits atop the national list with 251.8 points, in front of last year's Indoor Track and Field National Champions, Pittsburg State, with 189.19 points.
UIndy currently has 10 marks that rank on the national list among six athletes: Josue Le Cadre (800m, mile), Alex Meyer (long jump, high jump), Yanis Le Mouillour (800m), Felix Rivet (mile, 800m, 3,000m), Dylan Mayhew (weight throw), and Cole Hurt (Heptathlon).
