INDIANAPOLIS— The UIndy track and field team traveled to Taylor University and the Indiana State Fairgrounds to compete in two separate meets on Friday and Saturday. The weekend of competition was highlighted by Josue Le Cadre's record-breaking performance in the men's mile.
Le Cadre placed second in the men's mile at the Crossroads of America Invitational, clocking 4:02.34, beating the Greyhound record, which he set last February by 4.61 seconds. The Frenchmen now own two of the GLVC's top spots, leading the conference in the mile and the 800.

Just behind Le Cadre in the mile, Felix Rivet also posted a quicker time than the program's previous record with a fourth-place finish and a provisional time of 4:03.53.
Alex Meyer took the top spot in the men's long jump invitational competition with a leap of 7.45m. His provisional mark puts him atop the conference competition and third on the national list. Meyer also placed fourth in the high jump, clearing the bar at 2.02m. In the open men's long jump, the Hounds saw three top-ten finishers led by Nicholas Monro with a fourth-place finish and a leap of 6.80m.
Francesca Maurino recorded another provisional mark in the triple jump with a leap of 11.86m and a sixth-place finish.
In the women's pole vault senior, Mackenzie VanBibber found a season's best mark of 3.75m, moving her to second in the GLVC and 20th on the national list with her provisional mark. Joining VanBibber in the top 10, Maleah Bostock cleared 3.60m to earn her 9th place in the competition. In the Men's pole vault competition, Keywuan Taylor was able to clear a personal best of 4.53m for an eighth-place finish, while Frank Decker rounded out the top 10, clearing 4.43m.
Curt Dahncke recorded a new personal record in the 800m, clocking 1:53.66 and moving up to fourth in the GLVC with his sixth-place finish.
UIndy debuted its men's 4x400 relay of Lateef Mustafaa, Jalen Larkey, Yanis Le Mouillour, and Le Cadre with a third-place finish and a time of 3:16.27.

The throws squad dominated the field at Taylor, taking the top spot in three-out-of-four events in the throws. In the men's weight, Dylan Mayhew took first place with a toss of 19.46m, over two meters further than the rest of the competition. Mayhew's throw moves him to second in the conference and 20th nationally in the men's weight. Freshman William Kemper secured second place for the Greyhounds with a throw of 17.25m, nearly a meter ahead of the third-place thrower.
Macie Swinehart saw victory in the women's weight with her toss of 16.40m. The junior still holds onto the top spot in the conference for the event. The Greyhounds took first through fourth in the event with Maya Efodi (15.95m), Annie Thoman (15.07m) and Amanda Noel (15.05m) behind Swinehart. Vivian Osagie (14.88m) and Loria Snowden (14.75m) finished sixth and seventh, respectively, meaning every UIndy competitor in the event finished in the top seven.
Similarly, the women stole first through fourth place in the women's shot put, led by Osagie with a provisional toss of 14.95m. Behind Osagie Snowden (12.89m), Noel (12.69m), and Swinehart (12.01m) rounded out the top four. Thoman took seventh place with a toss of 11.87m.
The Hounds took third through fifth in the men's shot, led by Bryson Adams with a throw of 15.04 m. Behind him, Mayhew (14.87m) and Lance Fields (14.44m) rounded out the top five and Benjamin Booren joined the top-ten finishers in seventh with a toss of 14.08m.
Brailey Hoagland took two second-place finishes at the invitational, clocking a 7.96 in the 60m before recording 27.09 in the 200m. Ashley Sanderson came in just behind Hoagland in the 200 with a third-place finish and a time of 27.40, just in front of Marissa Kratowicz in fourth place with a time of 27.61.
Sophia Stadler recorded 2:25.50 in the 800m for a second-place finish, while Isha Ramteke took second in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.20m.
