Greyhounds Set for Semifinal Matchup Against #6 Lincoln

INDIANAPOLIS - The UIndy men's soccer team will take on the No. 8 Lincoln Blue Tigers in the semifinal round of the GLVC Tournament Championship on Friday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. ET. The game will take place at the Cooper Sports Complex in Springfield, Mo.

UIndy earned their spot in the semifinal with their 2-1 win over Quincy in the quarterfinal round at Key Stadium. Lincoln is coming off their ninth shutout of the season in their 1-0 win over Rockhurst.

The Greyhounds' semifinal appearance will be their sixth in the last seven seasons. In those appearances the Greyhounds have gone 3-2.

This will be the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs and the first postseason meeting. The Greyhounds hold a 1-1-1 record against Lincoln, tying the matchup earlier this season—a 1-1 draw at Key Stadium. In that matchup, the Greyhounds found themselves down early, but a late goal by Hugo Paturel brought the Hounds back even to secure the tie.

Since that meeting, UIndy has gone 3-0-1 to improve to 9-3-5 overall, while going 7-2-5 against GLVC opponents. The Blue TIgers have seen similar success since the matchup, going undefeated down teh stretch settling at 13-0-4 overall and 11-0-3 in league play.

The Greyhounds have made the GLVC men's soccer final eight times, winning the tournament titles on four occasions. The last UIndy GLVC men's soccer championship came in 2023 in head coach Gabe Hall's second year with the program.
