NEW ORLEANS— Nine members from the University of Indianapolis track and field squad were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) Midwest All-Region teams. The top-five individuals in each event from each region earn All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.
Josue Le Cadre earned All-Region accolades in the 800m, with his top ranking in the nation in the event, and the Distance Medley Relay, along with Yanis Le Mouillour, Lateef Mustafaa and Felix Rivet. Like Le Cadre, Le Mouillour was also named All-Region in the 800m while Rivet earned the honor in the 3k. Joining the DMR squad on the All-Region team, Alex Meyer received recognition for his performance in the long jump.Â
On the women's side, Francesca Maurino earned the All-Region nod in both the high jump and triple jump. She is joined by Jorjia Ferguson, who earns her first All-Region nod in the pentathlon. Vivian Osagie was named to the All-Region team after breaking the GLVC Indoor Championship meet record to take first place in the event. GLVC Freshman of the Year Amaiah Rhodes' performance in the 400 at the conference meet also earned her a spot on the All-Region team.
