INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy freshman Caitlin Bunte were named the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Pitcher of the Week in softball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

• Tossed 24.2 innings over five appearances, allowing just two runs for a 0.57 ERA
  • Earned three wins to improve season record to 10-1
  • Picked up first save of season against Gannon
• Gave up 11 hits and walked three batters, while striking out 23
• Best performance came against Bemidji State, throwing a seven-inning shutout with nine strikeouts and two hits allowed
• Earns first career Pitcher of the Week Award
