AUSTIN, Texas – UIndy softball standout Brooklyn Willis was named to the 2026 Academic All-America® First Team, it was announced Tuesday. Selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the annual list recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Willis crafted an impressive sophomore campaign, breaking UIndy single-season records for hits, home runs and total bases while leading the Greyhounds to 59 wins and an NCAA Super Regional appearance. The Shirley, Ind., native hit a grand slam in a GLVC Tournament elimination-game win over Maryville and later hit .500 in the team's three regional contests, including the game-winning two-run single in the regional final versus Saginaw Valley.

Willis becomes the 14th Academic All-American in Greyhound softball history and the fifth since 2023. UIndy now has 178 Academic All-America® nods all-time, good for third among all Division II institutions.
