UIndy Athletics is proud to announce plans for "Southside Saturday." The free, family-friendly event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at Key Stadium, and will be centered around the department's annual Football Spring Game. Giveaways, live music, food trucks, kids activities, Greyhound merch sales and more will be on the docket in what is sure to be a community favorite.
SOUTHSIDE SATURDAY TIMELINE
9 a.m. – Tailgate opens
- Taking place in the gravel lot north of the stadium off of State Ave
11 a.m. – Kids Activities begin / Grady II Birthday Party
- First 250 fans receive a free UIndy koozie
- Grady II Meet & Greet, photo op
- First 125 kids at the Grady II Meet & Greet receive an exclusive Grady shirt and additional party favors
- Bounce House
- Interactive games with UIndy student-athletes
11 a.m. – UIndy tennis match versus Illinois Springfield at the UIndy Tennis Center
11:30 a.m. – Live music, beverage sales, food trucks, face painting
- Local band Hill & Oaks will perform
- The bar will open for beer and wine sales
- Four food trucks will be on-site: Taqueria Mil Amores (tacos), The Whole Cow (burgers), Drink (dirty sodas, lemonades and more), and Heartland Homemade Ice Cream
12 p.m. – UIndy baseball game versus Missouri-St. Louis at Greyhound Park
12:15 p.m. – Special message from Athletic Director
