BALTIMORE— The University of Indianapolis men's lacrosse team is receiving votes in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) Coaches Poll for the fifth consecutive week.
After earning the program's 100th win at the University of Alabama at Huntsville 19-8, the Hounds now hold a 3-2 record entering week six. Three from the UIndy squad recorded at least five goals in the effort, led by Matt Pereira with a career-high five goals. Tanner Hahm recorded six points in the outing, adding two goals and four assists.
AJ Preachuk was one save shy of his best as a Greyhound, getting 14 between the pipes for a .636 save percentage against the Chargers. Sophomore TJ Reddington scooped up a game-high 10 ground balls while going 15-for-20 from the dot on the day.
Adelphi holds steady at the top of the poll, while Lewis has moved up two spots from last week's poll to No. 5, and Maryville moved up one to No. 8.
In addition to its status in the USILA poll, the UIndy is also receiving votes in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Week 5 Poll.
The Hounds are on the road for the second week in a for facing off against Lander in Greenwood, S.C. at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 14.
