INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy sophomore pitcherÂ
Aidan Pearson has been named the NCBWAÂ Midwest Region Player of the Week, making it the
second time in two weeks the Greyhounds have earned one of the Midwest Region honors.
This past weekend against
Maryville in the team's opening game of the GLVC Tournament, Pearson had one of his best outings of the season, tossing 7 1/3 innings and only allowing one run on three hits while punching out eight. His 7 1/3 innings pitched is his longest outing of the 2026 campaign, and his eight strikeouts are his second-most in a game this season behind the nine he had against
Upper Iowa.
Â
Pearson will be making his first postseason appearance this week for the Greyhounds, but UIndy is no stranger to postseason play, making its fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance when it takes on No. 2 Illinois Springfield on Thursday.Â
