Hounds bow out of GLVC Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The Greyhounds bowed out of the GLVC Tournament early, falling 2-1 at Drury to take themselves out of tournament play. The loss drops UIndy's record to 6-7-4 on the year. Drury improves to 13-5-1 with the win and will face the winner of Rockhurst and Wisconsin-Parkside in the tournament's semi-finals.

The Panthers struck first, scoring in the 25th minute. Ben Nabers scored on a ball from Ben Taylor to put Drury ahead 1-0. The home team would score again just before the half, with Steve Wilczewski finding the back of the net on an assit from Peter Higgins in the 44th minute to send the teams into halftime with Drury ahead 2-0.

UIndy would score its lone goal just after the 66-minute mark, with Brian Fishback netting his second goal of the year with help from Cory Barber. Fishback was served the ball into the box from Barber and finished it from the near post.

Drury got off 14 shots in the match to UIndy's seven, while the Greyhounds had five corner kick chances to the Panthers' four. Fishback led the offense with a pair of shots for UIndy on the night.

Michael Crane and Justin Roberts split time manning the net for UIndy, with Crane making four saves and allowing both Panther goals.
