HILLSDALE, Mich.- Host Hillsdale held the Greyhounds to 114 yards of total offense in earning a 23-0 win in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Saturday night at Muddy Waters Stadium.  UIndy (1-3, 0-3 GLIAC) was led by defensive back Craig Ray, who tallied 13 tackles, forced and recovered a fumble, grabbed a pick and had a sack in the loss.

The Chargers scored on their first possession of the game, going 58 yards on nine plays ending in a Troy Weatherhead touchdown run from a yard out for a quick 7-0 lead.  UIndy couldn't quite get in a rhythm offensively, garnering just one first down and 30 net yards in the first half as Hillsdale took a 13-0 lead into halftime.

HC (3-1, 2-1 GLIAC) made it 16-0 in the first drive of the second half when Paul Corsaro came on in relief at quarterback, replacing starter Rob Doyle.  After a three-and-out on his first series, Corsaro had the Hounds in scoring position on the next possession but his fourth-down pass deep in Charger territory was intercepted.

The Hounds' defense forced a punt giving UIndy the ball back but Corsaro was picked-off again four plays later, setting up Hillsdale's second TD drive.  Vinnie Panizzi rolled-in from 11 yards out, part of a night that saw him total 188 yards on the ground on 27 attempts.

UIndy's longest drive of the night followed, 11 plays spanning 5:44 midway through the final quarter.  It would be fruitless when Corsaro threw an incompolete pass on fourth-and-seven near midfield.

Ray helped lead the Greyhound defense with help from Mike Dum who had 10 tackles and #J.T. Owens# who pitched-in nine total stops.  Halston Love had 55 yards rushing on 14 carries for Indianapolis.

The Greyhounds return home to host #23 Saginaw Valley State next Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Key Stadium.
