Bellarmine 3 - UIndy 1

LOUISVILLE- The UIndy men's soccer team took its second loss of the weekend in Kentucky Sunday afternoon, falling in a GLVC contest to Bellarmine 3-1. The loss drops the Greyhounds to 3-3-0, 3-2-0 in GLVC play.

The Knights got on the board in the 27th minute, with Jordan Beckles scoring off the post for the goal. UIndy answered back in the 69th minute with a Bobby Adkins goal. Adkins tallied his third goal of the season on a pass in front of the goalie from Roger Lee and put it in the upper right corner of the goal.

Bellarmine re-captured the lead just more than four minutes later, on a diving header by Jordan Dellamano, off of a cross from Bradley Barraclough.

The Knights took the 3-1 lead in the 87th minute, with Michael Whitman taking a pass in the top of the box from Matt Weston and scoring from 23 yards out.

Adkins and Max Marsh each had a pair of shots on goal for the Greyhounds, who had seven shots on goal in the match. Bellarmine managed eight shots on goal in the game.

Justin Roberts made five saves in facing 18 shots on the day for UIndy.

The Greyhounds host Saint Joseph's in a GLVC conference Friday night at Key Stadium. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
