MIDLAND, Mich.- It only took five-and-a-half games, but UIndy junior Mar'Quone Edmonds set a new single-season program record at Hantz Stadium Saturday afternoon. The 6-2 wide out hauled in a pair of touchdown passes in the opening half of the Greyhounds' 38-7 win at Northwood, giving him 11 on the year and breaking a 57-year-old mark.
Though the former school record was tied twice through the years, the 10 receiving TDs set by UIndy Hall-of-Famer Dick Nyers back in 1954 had not been surpassed until Saturday. Edmonds, who finished with three TDs on the day, tied the mark late in the first quarter and broke it with 5:38 left in the half.

UIndy (4-2, 3-2 GLIAC) never trailed in the game, and even without Edmonds' efforts, put up enough points to win. The Greyhounds received a pair of scores from sophomore running back
Klay Fiechter – one receiving and one rushing. The latter TD came on a 68-yard scamper on the first play of the fourth quarter, good for the team's longest play of the season.
The remaining three points came on the Hounds' opening drive when freshman
Scott Miller hit a 26-yard field goal. The score was set up by the first of two interceptions from cornerback
Jerrett Ban, who picked off the first pass of the day by the Timberwolves.
Meanwhile, quarterback
Chris Mills was once again superb. He notched his third 300-yard passing game of the season by completing 25-of-34 attempts for 312 yards and four touchdowns. He has yet to throw a pick this season.
Defensively, the Hounds forced four turnovers and held the Timberwolves to 231 yards of total offense. Despite being behind most of the game, Northwood (1-5, 0-5) managed just 86 yards passing to mark a season low for a Greyhound opponent.
Junior defensive lineman
Justin Robinson shared the team lead with six total tackles, including one for a five-yard loss, and also added a forced fumble.
With a two-game winning streak in hand, the Hounds return to Indianapolis for back-to-back home games, starting with Saginaw Valley State Saturday, Oct. 15. Kickoff from Key Stadium is scheduled for 6 p.m.
