LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The UIndy baseball team (22-10, 11-9 GLVC) dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Bellarmine Saturday, 3-0 and 4-2.

The offense managed only three hits in the opener, as three Knight pitchers combined for the shutout.
Adam Rusche and
Brandon Stevens had back-to-back one-out singles in the seventh inning off starter Benjamin Fuchs, but the Hounds went quietly thereafter.
The Knights (18-16, 10-7) did most of their damage in the third by racking up five base hits and two runs in the frame, including an RBI double from Zach Blanchard.
All three runs were charged to Greyhound starter
Cory Rupert (4-4), who went 5 2/3 innings while allowing a season-high 10 hits and four walks while striking out four. Reliever
Matt Widick came on in the sixth and pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings.

UIndy out-hit it host in game two and scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings, but it wasn't enough as the Knights scored three big runs in the fifth to earn the 4-2 win.

Alex Kiel (pictured) finished 2-for-4 as the only Greyhound with two hits on the day.
Donovan Drake (2-3) went the distance despite picking up the loss. He surrendered four runs (three earned), five hits and four walks while fanning nine.
The Greyhounds and Knights face off again tomorrow, with doubleheader action starting at 12 p.m. EDT.
Note: Saturday's gamed were played at Saint Xavier High School, a turfed and lighted field approximately two miles from the BU campus, due to rain in the area earlier in the day.
