Box Score

INDIANAPOLIS- The Greyhound men's soccer team got goals from a pair of sophomores Tuesday night to take a 2-0 win over Cedarville. The win improves UIndy to 1-1-0 on the young season, while Cedarville falls to 1-1-0.

Brett Greubel recorded the first goal of his UIndy career in the 35th minute to put the Greyhounds up 1-0. Greubel put the ball in from close range, directly through the middle for the score.

UIndy took a 2-0 lead just before the 50-minute mark, with Kevin Eggert converting on a header just inside the near post. Eggert's score was assisted by Greubel.

Justin Roberts recorded the shutout victory in the net for the Greyhounds, the 11th clean sheet of his career. Roberts made five saves on the night, including a leaping punch of the ball over the net on a free kick by Cedarville in the 80th minute to preserve the shutout.

Both teams took seven shots in the contest, and both teams also were even in corner kick chances at three each.

The Greyhounds open GLVC play this weekend, traveling to Lewis for a Friday afternoon game before hosting Wisconsin-Parkside Sunday.
