Winning streak moves to 13 at William Jewell

LIBERTY, Mo. – Earlier in the day the volleyball team visited the Kansas Motor Speedway, but later in the afternoon it was No. 9 UIndy that was operating like a well-oiled machine in a victory, 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-15), at William Jewell on Saturday to run its winning streak to 13 in a row.

The Greyhounds (16-2, 8-0 GLVC) hit .269 against the Cardinals (8-9, 3-5 GLVC) for their seventh sweep in eight Great Lakes Valley Conference victories.

Senior Kristina Kerrigan led all players with 13 kills and 19 digs, while senior Amy Oldenburg added another 18 digs for UIndy. The Greyhounds' block was also big in helping to hold WJ to .187 attacking as junior Brittany Anglemyer had six blocks, including three solo, and sophomore Julia Watkins added five blocks.

Sophomore setter Meghan Binkerd finished with 43 assists, six digs and five kills.

The Cardinals were led by Hannah Herndon and Jordan Jackson with seven kills each, while Katie Damgar paced the back line with 18 digs.

The Greyhounds finish the trip Sunday at 2 p.m. ET in an important meeting against Rockhurst (15-2, 7-1 GLVC), which is riding a seven-match winning streak.
