LOUISVILLE - A group of Greyhound track and field athletes traveled to GLVC-foe Bellarmine for the Bellarmine Classic Saturday.

The highlight of the day for UIndy was the NCAA provisional mark posted by the women's 4x400-meter relay squad of Kenya Owens, Angelique McNeal, LaTisha Martin and Haley Miller. The Greyhounds took second in the event with a time of 3:47.88.

The UIndy squad's time is good for 21st-best nationally, and ranks tops amongst GLVC squads competing this year. The Greyhounds bested their previous-best time on the year of 3:56.02 with the mark.

Next up for UIndy is the 2012 GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Greyhound men are the two-time defending GLVC Outdoor Champions, while the UIndy women completed the two-year sweep, also winning at last year's and the 2010 event.
