LOUISVILLE- Seven Greyhounds posted NCAA provisional marks at the Bellarmine Track and Field Invitational Friday and Saturday.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Lauren Rascoe, LaTisha Martin, Kenya Owens and Angelique McNeal took second in the event at Bellarmine, with an NCAA provo time of 47.19.
For the UIndy men, Jerel Flournoy posted an NCAA provisional time in the 200-meter dash, topping the field at BU with a time of 21.35. Jermel Kindred also tallied a provisional time, in the 400-meter hurdles. Kindred bested the other competitors by more than three whole seconds with his time of 52.22.
Ryan Smith and Matt Royer put up NCAA marks in the throws for the Greyhounds, with Smith improving upon his previous NCAA provisional mark in the shot put with a toss of 17.41 meters to win the event. Royer took second in the shot with a throw of 16.04 meters.
Royer won the hammer throw with an NCAA provisional mark of 62.96 meters, with Smith taking third with his NCAA mark of 56.60 meters in the event.
In addition to the seven NCAA marks, Camille Edwards won the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.79, with Ben McMillan topping the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:50.14.
Flournoy also won the 100-meter dash, with a time of 10.71. Haley Miller took first in the women's 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.03, while Jourdin Heinrichs won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.38.
In the field, Nikki Wilson won the women's javelin with a throw of 36.32 meters, while Carlynn Carter took second in the shot put with a toss of 12.56 meters.
