ON TAP
The Greyhounds play their third straight game away from home this weekend, making their long-awaited GLVC debut at Quincy.  Kickoff Saturday night is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern.

CONFERENCE KICKOFF
After two weeks of non-conference action, the road to determining the inaugural GLVC Football Champion begins this week.  Five games are scheduled for Saturday, including the league's first-ever head-to-head conference games.  In addition to the UIndy/Quincy game, William Jewell will host Kentucky Wesleyan,  McKendree welcomes Missouri S&T and Urbana travels to Central State.  The only non-conference action this week sees Saint Joseph's heading to Robert Morris in Chicago.

ABOUT QUINCY
The Hawks bring an 0-2 mark into their week-three meeting with UIndy.  QU allowed an average of 49 points in its losses to the GLIAC's Northwood and D-I Indiana State.

The Quincy defense has been particularly susceptable to the run, as the team has surrendered over 600 rushing yards in the first two games combined.

The Hawks are led by first-year head coach Tom Pajic, who spent the previous eight seasons as the offensive coordinator at D-II Bloomsburg University.  Pajic took over a Quincy team that went 4-6 last season, including a 1-5 mark in the Mid-State Football Association.

HOUNDS vs. HAWKS
Saturday marks the first-ever meeting on the gridiron between UIndy and Quincy.

LAST TIME OUT
Facing its second straight Indianapolis-based opponent in as many weeks, Western Illinois notched a 27-17 win against the visiting Greyhounds last week.  The Division-I Leathernecks, who escaped with an eight-point victory versus Butler the previous Saturday, committed just one turnover compared to UIndy's four to move the Greyhounds to 0-2 on the season.

The Hounds trumped Western in both first downs and total yards, but the Leathernecks corralled four interceptions, including one that was returned for a touchdown.

INTERCEPT COURSE
The four giveaways last week marked the most turnovers for UIndy since Oct. 30, 2010, and its most INTs since the 2004 finale.

UIndy's total of seven turnovers this season already surpasses last year's total of six.  In fact, the Greyhounds' ball security in 2011 set a new Division-II low while tying the NCAA all-divisions record for fewest turnovers in a season.

WHAT'S THE RUSH
Junior running back Klay Fiechter reached the 100-yard mark for the second straight week with a career-high 122 rushing yards at Western Illinois.  The Bluffton, Ind., native has averaged 112.5 rushing yards per game through two weeks, good for tops in the GLVC and 25th in Division II.

Combined with his 103 yards at Ashland in the opener, Fiechter's recent output marked the first back-to-back 100-yard rushing games by a Greyhound since Craig Jenkins turned the trick in weeks eight and nine back in 2008.  Jenkins' rushing total that year  topped out at 1,324 yards, good for the school's single-season record.

QUICK STRIKE
Despite scoring under 20 points for the second straight week, the UIndy offense showed some of its high-powered potential at WIU, especially on one particular drive midway through the third quarter.

The possession began with consecutive gains of five, 12 and 14 yards before junior quarterback Chris Mills found senior Mar'quone Edmonds in stride for a 52-yard touchdown pass.  The scoring strike was easily the longest play from scrimmage for the Hounds this season.  All told, the drive covered 80 yards in just two minutes and nine seconds.

TACKLING THE ISSUES
Senior linebacker Max Davis has amassed double-digit tackles in five straight games dating back to last season.  He has recorded 65 total stops in that span, good for an average of 13 tackles per contest.

Looking to become just the sixth-ever Greyhound to compile three 100-tackle seasons, the four-year starter and hometown product enters week three ranked 15th on the program's all-time tackle list.  His 322 career tackles are just 17 shy of cracking the UIndy top 10.

PASSING THE TIME
UIndy's passing game produced a number of milestones at Western Illinois.  In his third season as a starting QB, Mills eclipsed both the 400-completion and 5,000-passing-yard marks.  Meanwhile, Edmonds moved his career receiving-yard total past 2,000.

TOUCHDOWN MAR'Q
Edmonds is on the doorstep of yet another major milestone, as the Waukegan, Ill., native needs just one touchdown reception to tie the UIndy career record.  Already the school's single-season record holder in the category (14 in 2011), Edmonds enters the Quincy game with 25 touchdown catches.  That total is just shy of one of the longest-held Greyhound football records, as UIndy Hall-of Famer Dick Nalley caught his 26th and final TD pass for the Hounds in 1955.

ROAD WARRIORS
Four of UIndy's first five games this season are on the road, including each of the first three.  The Greyhounds opened with three straight away contests just once since 1970*, as the team started 1-2 away from Key Stadium in 2008 before finishing 5-6.

COACHES' DECISION
League coaches dubbed Indianapolis the team to beat in the GLVC by voting the Hounds as the overwhelming favorite in the GLVC Preseason Poll.  UIndy garnered the maximum eight first-place votes and 64 points (no team could vote for itself).  Meanwhile, Saturday's opponent Quincy was picked seventh.
