SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The UIndy men's soccer team took a 3-1 loss at Drury in GLVC action Friday afternoon.
The host Panthers (4-1-0; 2-1-0 GLVC) posted a goal in the 32nd minute to take a 1-0 lead into the half. Drury took the 2-0 lead in the 74th minute, and tallied its final goal just about four minutes later.
UIndy (2-4-0; 1-2-0 GLVC) got on the board in the 85th minute on a
Reid Strain penalty kick. The Greyhound freshman currently leads the GLVC in goals scored, with the PK good for his sixth of the year.
Strain led UIndy with four shots on the day, while
Julian Shamsaie took three.
Andrew Verhonik took the loss in goal, making one save in the effort.
The Greyhounds stay on the road, heading to Missouri S&T for a Sunday afternoon GLVC match. First kick is at 3:30 p.m. EST.
