ON TAP
The Greyhounds play the first of four road games in a five-game stretch this weekend when they travel to Drake University for an afternoon match-up with the Bulldogs.  Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

STREAM WEAVER
For a small fee, UIndy football fans that can't make it to Iowa can catch the Greyhounds on Drake's Bulldog Vision.  The game can also be heard on WICR 88.7 FM and online at wicr.uindy.edu/audio.

ABOUT DRAKE
The Bulldogs compete in the Pioneer Football League – the nation's only non-scholarship, football-only NCAA Football Championship Subdivision conference.  They finished their 2012 PFL slate with a 7-1 record to earn a share of the league title with Butler and San Diego.

Drake has won 15 of its last 17 home games and are 25-5 at Drake Stadium under current head coach Chris Creighton.

Junior linebacker John Hugunin leads all of Division I with 15.0 tackles per game.

GREYHOUNDS vs. BULLDOGS
Saturday marks the first-ever meeting between UIndy and Drake.  The match-up presents UIndy with its third straight opponent to win its conference championship last season.

LAST TIME OUT
UIndy recorded a convincing 51-20 win versus NAIA No. 4 Saint Xavier last weekend.  The Greyhounds scored 38 of the game's final 44 points to run away with the "W.".  All told, the Hounds' offense delivered 610 total yards, including 354 on the ground, while the defense came up with five interceptions and three sacks.

UIndy's total yardage marked its second-highest output in the last 10 years, second only to the 615 yards it posted versus Saint Joseph's in week six last season.

LEAGUE LAURELS
For the second time in as many weeks, a Greyhound picked up an award from the conference.  Seven days after Todd Hacker was dubbed the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week, senior running back Klay Fiechter was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week after his impressive week-two performance.  The veteran ball carrier racked up a career-high 198 yards on the ground versus SXU, part of 254 all-purpose yards.  His 49-yard  touchdown run in the second quarter proved to be the go-ahead score for UIndy.

Fiechter now owns five of the top-10 rushing performances in the GLVC's brief football history (see below).

TOP GLVC SINGLE-GAME RUSHING PERFORMANCES

9 157 Braxton Shelton, SJC at KWC 10/27/12

INTERCEPT COURSE
Five different Greyhounds had interceptions versus Saint Xavier, two short of the school record of seven set in the old "Top Dog" game against Butler in 1984.  Koby Orris, Josh Bass, Rob Dury, Todd Hacker and John Strickland all garnered picks, with each of the latter four recording their first collegiate interpection.

POLL POSITION
UIndy climbed up two spots to No. 12 in this week's AFCA Division II Top 25 Poll.  The ranking is good for the program's highest-ever showing in the weekly coaches poll.  See page 5 for this week's coaches' rankings.

MR. 3,000
Fiechter is on the verge of becoming just the fourth player to reach 3,000 career rushing yards in a Greyhound uniform.  The Bluffton, Ind., native enters the week with 2,956 total rushing yards -- 44 shy of the milestone.  He also needs just one rushing touchdown to tie Jim Ware's 51-year-old school record of 30 TDs on the ground.

PASSING FANCY
A few other major school records could fall Saturday, as senior quarterback Chris Mills is in need of five completions and 357 passing yards to break the UIndy record in each respective category.  Both marks are currently held by Matt Kohn (2001-04).  See page four for a closer look at more UIndy career records.

OH BEHAVE
By drawing just two penalty flags last week, UIndy continued to minimize its infractions on the year; the Greyhounds' four total penalties on the year are tied for the second fewest in Division II -- one behind national-leader Brevard.

FOR STARTERS
Undy's 2-0 record marks the second such start for the Greyhounds during the Bartolomeo era.  UIndy also won its first two games in 2010, Coach Bart's initial year at the helm.  Before Bartolomeo, the Hounds had not started 2-0 since 2003 when they won their first three contests.

17 AGAIN
Averaging more than 30 pass attempts per game as a collegian, Mills made just 17 throws versus Saint Xavier.  The sum was the second lowest of his career, with his personal low of 12 coming his freshman year at Wayne State, a game in which he left in the first half due to injury.

STAY CLASSY
With 25 victories to its credit, this year's senior class needs four more wins to set a new school record for wins in a four-year period.  The current mark of 28 is shared by the 1983-86 and the 1984-87 groups.  Three other classes have won 27 games in four consecutive years, including last year's senior class.

POINT OF NO RETURN
As a standout punt returner last season, UIndy's opponents are no doubt aware of Fiechter's special teams potential.  Pooch punts, directional kicks and touchbacks have all led to zero punt return opportunities for the versatile back.  Fiechter averaged 21.3 yards per punt return last season, good for second in Division II.
