COLUMBUS, Ohio – With victories of 3-0 and 8-3, the UIndy softball team upped its winning streak to eight after Wednesday's sweep of in-region Ohio Dominican.  The Greyhounds (21-7) got a near no-hitter from Morgan Foley in the first game and delivered three home runs in the second.

In addition, All-American Casey Williamson reached milestone in game one when the junior outfielder scored career run No. 134, passing former-teammate Jennifer DeMotte for second on UIndy's all-time list.

GAME 1
Foley (15-4) made a serious bid for her first no-hitter of the season.  She carried the no-no into the sixth inning and retired the first two batters before ODU senior Caitlin Jividen dumped a single to right.  The Panthers (10-20) managed another single in the seventh before Foley completed the shutout, striking out 10 batters in her 15th win of the year.

The Greyhounds, meanwhile, scored single runs in the first, sixth and seventh frames.  Erica Goodwin and Katie Kelly each scored on an RBI groundout after reaching on a double, while Williamson singled, stole second and scored on an Alexa Alfaro base hit.

GAME 2
Down 2-1 heading into the fourth inning, UIndy dropped the hammer as seniors Alfaro and Cori Eckerle both went yard.  With Williamson and Taylor Russell on the base pads, Alfaro lifted the first pitch she saw over the left-center field for her first bomb of the season.  Two batters later, Eckerle followed suit with a two-run shot, plating Tayler Weck and seizing all the momentum.

Williamson added a third home run with her solo job in the seventh.  The Indy native finished the game 3-for-3 with three runs and two ribbies.

Senior Morgan Lewis (6-3) went the distance in the circle, allowing seven hits and three walks.  She surrendered three earned runs on the day but only one after the first inning.

UIndy returns to league play this weekend, starting with a doubleheader at Illinois Springfield Saturday, Apr. 5 at 1 p.m. ET.
