INDIANAPOLIS – Six Greyhounds will represent UIndy at next weekend's NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Pittsburg State University.
On the women's side, sophomores
Katie Monk and
Kieran Casey each earned a trip to Nationals with their performances throughout the season.
Monk will be competing in the Shot Put following a first place finish at the GLVC Championships. The Churabusco, Ind.-native also held the conference's top mark in the Weight Throw, but will not be competing in the event at Nationals. This marks the first trip to the National Championships for Monk.
It will be the second trip to the national stage for Casey, who once again qualified for the Mile Run. Casey's preliminary time of 5:03.13 in the 2015 NCAA Championships placed her 17th, but was just shy of advancing to the final round. An All-Region honoree in the fall Cross Country season, Casey enters the championships following a first-place finish at the conference championships.
In addition, junior

Brian Sales,
Antwan Martin and
Allen Wright for the Men's 4x400 meter relay. The four earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region recognition following a runner-up finish to Lewis in the GLVC Championships.
Qualls was also an All-Region selection in the 200 meters, while Wright earned the same honor in the 400 meters en route to being named GLVC Freshman of the Year. Senior
