The University of Indianapolis Track and Field Coaching Staff will be conducting a six week conditioning period to evaluate student-athletes interested in trying out for the men and women's track team.
Before participating in the Fall Conditioning period, prospective student-athletes must complete each of the following:
First, you must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center and submit your transcripts and test scores as well as complete the Amateurism form for certification. For questions regarding eligibility, please contact Associate AD/Compliance Office, Scott Young, by email at syoung@uindy.edu or at 317-788-3306.
Prospective student-athletes must also attend the compliance and team meeting(s) currently scheduled for September 8, 2015 at 4:00 PM in Wells Fargo Conference Room in the Athletic Recreational Center (ARC).
Lastly, you must get a physical done through the UIndy athletics department. Female track and field hopefuls will be examined Saturday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. in the Ruth Lilly Center, while males will go on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at 10 a.m., also in the Ruth Lilly Center. The cost of the physical is $60. Please make checks payable to the University of Indianapolis.
In addition, the following paperwork must be completed before the start of practice on September 14, 2015 (NO exceptions): HIPPAAA FORM, Assumption of Risk Form, Drug Testing Consent Form and Insurance Form with a copy of insurance card.
