Box Score WESTFIELD, Ind. – The UIndy softball team (4-1) earned a 6-4 win versus Purdue Northwest Saturday. The Greyhounds and Pride (0-1) faced off at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind., after weather redirected both teams from the now-canceled Music City Invitational in Tennessee.

The elements also affected the Greyhounds' local plans, as Saturday's second game versus Urbana University was halted in the top of the first and will be continued tomorrow at 4 p.m.

UIndy 6, Purdue Northwest 4
The Greyhounds jumped out to a 4-0 lead after picking up a pair of runs in both the third and fourth innings. Freshman
Hanna Burris and junior
Taylor Podschweit notched RBI singles in the third, while
Haylie Foster's RBI triple highlighted the fourth-inning action.

Foster earned another ribbie by scoring
Jessie Noone with single in the fifth. UIndy's final tally came across in the seventh when Podschweit scored on the Pride's fourth error of the day.

Lauren Honkomp earned the win in the circle, allowing just two hits and striking out 11 in 6 2/3 innings. PNW cashed in a couple of unearned runs in the fourth, but could not muster much else against the sophomore ace.
Foster finished 3 for 4, while Burris and Podschweit each had two hits.

In addition to finishing the aforementioned Urbana contest, the Greyhounds will play two other games at Grand Park Sunday. UIndy will face Urbana at noon ET, followed by a match-up with Ohio Dominican at 2 p.m. before finishing today's game with Urbana.
