INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's soccer team finds themselves heading back to the NCAA tournament once again after another stellar regular season. The Hounds are back in the field after going 12-5-1 in 2019.

UIndy was named the No. 9 seed in Super Region Three Monday night. The Hounds drew a game against eighth-seeded Fort Hays State at Lake Erie Thursday at noon. The Tigers fell in their conference championship game Sunday afternoon in PKs to Rogers State who did not qualify for a bid to this year's tournament.

The Tigers opened their 2019 season with a GLVC opponent, shutting out Rockhurst 3-nil in Hays. Fort Hays came back a week later to face Maryville in Kansas City, losing to the Saints on a neutral field, 0-3.

Four GLVC teams are heading to the NCAA tournament this year, with Bellarmine being highest-seeded team with the No. 2 seed in the region. Maryville and McKendree will both host their first-round games after earning byes to the second round for this weekend. The Saints are the No. 3 team while the Bearcats are the No. 4 seed.

When the Hounds take the field Thursday, they will be playing for the program's first NCAA tournament game win ever.
