INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's and women's soccer teams have clinched their spots in their respective upcoming GLVC Championship Tournaments. The Greyhounds will host a doubleheader this Sunday at Key Stadium with the women playing at 12 p.m. ET followed by the men at 2:30 p.m. ET.
 
On the women's side, the Hounds secured the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament, their highest seed number since they were the No. 3 seed back in 2006. The Greyhounds were picked to finish 10th in the conference preseason coaches' poll back in August, going a perfect 8-0 in the confines of Key Stadium this season. UIndy will host Southern Indiana on Sunday afternoon, the Screaming Eagles come in the tournament as the GLVC's No. 7 seed in the women's bracket. USI handed UIndy their first loss of the season back in September in Evansville, shutting out the Greyhounds 1-0.
 
As for the UIndy men, John Higgins' team reached the conference tournament for the 7th consecutive season. After going on the road as the No. 5 seed last year to Maryville, UIndy stays home for the first round of the conference tournament for the 2nd time in three years. The Hounds come into the GLVC tournament winners in eight of their final nine games with the only loss coming to No. 24 Maryville. The Greyhound men will also host USI Sunday afternoon. UIndy beat USI earlier this season, beating the Screaming Eagles 2-1 in Evansville.
