In total, it is Stocks' second national coaching honor after earning the distinction from Lacrosse Magazine in 2013 while at Lake Erie College. The British Columbia native has been recognized by his peers on three occasions, including this past spring.

The Greyhounds finished the season with a 16-3 record and a trip to the national semifinal. UIndy reached as high as fourth in the USILA national poll, and eventually received the three seed in the NCAA South Region tournament. The Greyhounds became the fastest team in NCAA DII history to win multiple games in postseason action, knocking off Queens and Belmont Abbey in overtime to advance to the semifinal at top-ranked Limestone.

Three players were named USILA All-America recipients, with Parker Kump named to the third team.
