Men's Lax inches to #19 in coaches poll

PERRY, N.Y. - After a season-opening victory last Friday over Wheeling Jesuit, the UIndy men's lacrosse team has moved up to No. 19 in the first coaches poll conducted this season. It is the first time the Greyhounds have been 19th since week five of last season.

The Hounds also came in at No. 19 in the latest US Lacrosse Magazine poll.

UIndy ran away from Wheeling Jesuit last Friday at Key Stadium, with Drew Billig and Parker Kump each scoring five goals. The 20-8 win over the Cardinals is the first time since 2016 that the Greyhounds have been victorious in the team's season opener. The Hounds have now won the last three contests against the Cardinals, dating back to 2017.

UIndy travels to Greensburg, Pa. this Saturday afternoon for a battle with No. 3 Seton Hill. Last season, the Griffins handled the Greyhounds at Key Stadium, 18-5.
