Kimble grabs first GLVC weekly honor of career

INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy men's lacrosse senior goalkeeper Jarod Kimble was named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance between the pipes last Saturday afternoon, the league announced on Monday.

It is the first GLVC defensive weekly honor since Kenny Keyes last April. Kimble earned ECAC Defensive Player of the Week laurels as a freshman in 2016, the only season UIndy was a member of the conference.

The Rochester, N.Y. product made 12 saves in the overtime thriller, stopping double-digit shots for the 10th time in his career.

Kimble also picked up a game-high 10 ground balls in the win, while causing one Seton Hill turnover.

The No. 10 Greyhounds are back in action this coming Saturday at Key Stadium.
