LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The red hot UIndy softball team made its 2019 debut in the NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll this week. The Greyhounds forced their way into the national ranks after winning each of their last eight contests.
Â
The announcement marked UIndy's first appearance in the poll since April 18 of last season when the team was ranked 20th. The Hounds are the only GLVC team to appear in the top 25 this week. Illinois Springfield dropped from No. 12 to out of the rankings, while defending-national-champ Southern Indiana is among those receiving votes.
Â
Meanwhile, five different teams garnered at least one first-place vote, with Saint Anselm edging Texas A&M-Commerce for the top spot. See below for the complete poll.
Â
The Greyhounds return to the turf fields of Grand Park this afternoon for a doubleheader versus in-region Urbana at 2 p.m. ET. Live stats will be available
