INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy student-athlete Hilary Paxson was named the GLVC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week Wednesday. It marked the first career conference weekly award for the senior thrower.
 
The Liberty Center, Ind., native is coming off a career performance last weekend at Purdue. Paxson secured second place in the talented field with a PR of 19.51 meters in the weight throw. The mark was good for the fifth-longest toss in Division II this season.
 
Paxson is the third UIndy thrower in seven days to secure a weekly award from the GLVC. Teammates Katie Monk and Austin Hogan were named the GLVC's top field athletes for their respective genders.
