PERRY, N.Y. - After a 1-1 weekend, the UIndy men's lacrosse team has dropped three spots to ninth in the latest USILA coaches poll. The latest set of rankings, which was released on Monday morning, has three programs from the GLVC, including Rockhurst and Maryville in a tie for 17th.Â
The Greyhounds lost their first contest of 2019 last Thursday at No. 11 Belmont Abbey, who jumped to eighth this week in the coaches poll. After a sluggish offensive start, UIndy forged a comeback in the fourth quarter, but it was all too late for the Hounds in the 13-10 defeat. UIndy bounced back, however, with a dominating 18-8 win at Alabama Huntsville on Saturday to pick up its second conference win of the season.Â
In the win at Alabama Huntsville, senior
Parker Kump dished out a program-record five assists to finish with a game-high seven points. Keeper
Shawn Kimble made 10 saves in net, while
Kyle Basch picked up four ground balls and caused one turnover.Â
The Hounds close out its road trip at No. 14 Lindenwood this Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. from St. Charles, Mo.
