SPRINGBORO, Ohio – The UIndy men's golf team went toe-to-toe with a number of Division I programs at the Wright State Invitational Sunday and Monday. The Greyhounds (369-371) finished at +40 in the play-six-count-five format, tying for fifth place to best the likes of Butler, Green Bay and Northern Kentucky. The tournament, which was shortened from 54 holes to 36 due to rain on Sunday, was played at the par-70 Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio.

Freshman
Cam Carroll led the way for the Hounds, finishing in a tie for fourth place at +1. The East Lansing, Mich., native was a combined five-under on the front nine for the tournament, thanks in part to a round-one eagle on the par-five fourth hole Sunday.

Playing in the Hounds lineup for the first time this season, senior
Reid Lorey (72-74) notched a top-20 finish, sharing 16th place on the 79-man leaderboard. Sophomore
Oliver Mast (77-72) settled at +9 to tie for 27th, followed by junior
Erik Edwards (73-79) in 44th, sophomore
Ian Carroll (77-78) in 61st and junior
Spencer Klimek (81-76) in 67th.
Wittenburg (362-359) took the team title at +21, while Fort Wayne's Zach Schroeder (67-69) won medalist honors at -4.
